A week ago, Jo and I went on a day trip to see various Korean cultural heritage sites. Here is King Sejong's tomb. The large mound in the background is where he is laid. In the foreground is scholar, since scholars were dear to him. To the right of the scholar are two offering tables, and further right is a lantern. To the far left is a marker, so that he spirits of the dead would know which tomb was theirs. The burial mound was encircled with the twelve signs of the chinese zodiac as protection (in stone). The whole grounds were beautiful, and supposedly had really really good Feng Shui. It was a warm, sunny day, and you could feel the good energy in the place.
