This is called an Angbuilgu. It's a concave sundial. It was super cool because it was all polished and space-age looking, while at the same time looking ancient. Apparently, not only does it tell time, but it also tracks seasons. Strangely, it measures time in 1-hour-and-10-minute intervals.
